"Born in Austin, Texas and currently residing in Los Angeles, alt-psychpop band Mamalarky is making their way in the industry, creating their own sub-genre of indie music. While promoting their debut EP Fundamental Thrive Hive, they have played everywhere from sweaty dens to sweeping stages across all of Texas. What’s impressive is that they achieved this all independently."- Flaunt
"Shifting between tender songwriting and a more bold approach, the record draws influences from the likes of Elliott Smith and Death Cab but comfortably sit alongside Slaughter Beach, Dog as one of the year’s more compelling acts of ‘stripping back’..."- GoldFlakePaint
Somber & swoony.
"Guts Club you might know as the cracked and slithering quasi-country act of New Orleans’ Lindsey Baker... 'Trench Foot' will be Baker’s third release as Guts Club, following 2016’s 'Shit Bug' and 2015’s 'The Arm Wrestling Tournament.' However and whatever you know, I hope that you’ll trust me when I say there is little else out there quite like the razor-direct intensity of Baker’s lyricism in Guts Club."- Tiny Mix Tapes

THE BIG FINAL DAY PARTY.
This is it, y'all... Our 12th annual Big One. When you've been doing something for over a decade, you start to gain a reputation. Held at the very tail end of SXSW, The Big One happens to have garnered a reputation for being a particularly rowdy daytime rage-a-thon. It's our final kiss-off party to the festival, which of course means that we pull out all the stops to make sure it's as big, badass, and memorable as is humanly possible.
In keeping with tradition, The Big One will be held on Saturday, March 17th at Barracuda on Red River. It will feature some of the biggest, buzziest, and just plain best bands appearing on two stages. This year, our headliners consist of meteoric rising star Ron Gallo, Spanish garage-rock mavens Hinds, era-bending songwriter Michael Rault, and indie-rock mainstays Speedy Ortiz. It wouldn't be a Do512 party without beverages from Deep Eddy Vodka, Mike's Harder, Austin Eastciders, and Karbach Brewing Co.. Our advice? RSVP now. Show up early, have a blast, and pace yourself because there's plenty of The Big One to go around. See the full list of artists performing at The Big One below.

Did you know that in 2015, the Austin Music Census reported only 20% of Austin musicians were female? (Austin didn't even include/recognize our non-binary musicians) That's What She* Said works to create space for the non-male musicians of Austin, of SXSW, and of our community at large. #nomorebroshows
